January 25, 2012 Former Colorado State Senate President Fred Anderson passed away in December. He sponsored the 1973 bill that created the Colorado Instream Flow Program. The water community appreciates his contributions and remembers him fondly.

CCC Ditch Project Update

Moser Project crosses the finish line
June 16, 2011 At the Space Gallery in Denver, a small group of people gathered on June 7, 2011 to celebrate the conclusion of a seven-year project. The Moser Project received a water court decree in April, marking the conclusion of Colorado Water Trust's first project.

Water Trust Finalizes First Sale
June 03, 2005 In a groundbreaking deal finalized last week, the nonprofit Colorado Water Trust spent $130,000 to buy 800 acre-feet of water from Howard (Scotty) and Jeanette Moser, owners of the Slate Creek Ranch. The water will be dedicated to meeting instream flow requirements in Boulder Creek and the Lower Blue, instead of being diverted for irrigation. Flows in Boulder Creek will now be significantly higher during the late summer and early fall.
