CWT could not have reached the place we are today without our board members’ thoughtful guidance and leadership and we are grateful for their time and expertise. So it is always nice when others also notice their remarkable contributions.
This week the University of Wisconsin-Madison will honor CWT founding board member, Ruth Wright, and her husband, Kenneth M. Wright, with a joint honorary doctor of science degree. They are being recognized for their leadership and dedication to environmental innovation, service and stewardship. Ruth is a water attorney and former state legislator among her many achievements she was a member of the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Board of Trustees and was instrumental in launching the GOCO Legacy Grant Program which has been critical to protecting some of Colorado’s valuable open space areas.
She and her husband also founded the Wright Paleohydrological Institute, a nonprofit organization to further knowledge of past civilizations through the study of ancient water management and practices. The Wright’s are passionate about water and are always willing to share their knowledge and experience. Congratulations, Ruth and Ken!
